Dr. Horn Receives Ferris State Pacesetter Award
Dr. Barbara Horn received the Ferris State University Pacesetter award on May 3, 2007. The Pacesetter award is one of the highest honors bestowed upon a graduate. It is given to a graduate for their outstanding commitment to their community, profession and alma mater. Congratulations, Dr. Horn!

Dr. Barbara Horn Receives National "Young Optometrist of the Year" Award
Dr. Barbara Horn received the National "Young Optometrist of the Year" award from the American Optometric Association at the national convention in Las Vegas, Nevada in June, 2006.

to Dr. Barbara Horn
LET IT BE KNOWN, That it is a disctinct pleasure and privilege to recognize the many professional accomplishments of Dr. Barbara Horn on the occassion of the opening of her new practice. Her work as an Optometrist benefits individuals of all ages in her community, and her tireless efforts on behalf of the profession of Optometry has helped positively advance the practice in the State of Michigan.
Dr. Horn received various academic honors and awards during her time studying at the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State and these accolades have only increased during her time in private practice. This year brings Dr. Horn her greatest honor to date; the first being elected as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Michigan Optometric Association and the second being the honor of named the Young Optometrist of the Year by the same group. In addition, Dr. Horn has also found time to chair the Information & Member Services Group Executive Committee of the American Optometric Association.
It is not often that we are given the opportunity to meet an individual who so capably balances the professional, familial, and social responsibilities of everyday life. Dr. Horn accomplishes not only this, but also much more, because rather then simply balancing the many responsibilities of a full life, she has excelled at them all.
IN SPECIAL TRIBUTE, Therefore, This document is signed and dedicated to honor Dr. Barbara Horn, who has been named the Young Optometrist of the Year by the Michigan Optometric Association. May her new practice help the citizens of Washington Township and may her exemplary service to her patients, profession, and community continue for years to come.
